Turzai to Unveil Legislation to Reform Capital Project Funding Process

What: House Majority Leader Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) will unveil legislation (what will be House Bill 2175) to reform the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Project (RACP) program. The bill would have immediate effects by reducing the RACP debt ceiling to $3.5 billion from its current level of $4.05 billion. The legislation does not eliminate the economic development grant program, but redefines the program and makes it financially viable.

Who: Turzai will be joined by several of his House colleagues.

When: Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 10:30 a.m.

Where: Second floor balcony outside of the Lt. Governor’s office in the Main Rotunda of the State Capitol, Harrisburg.
